Sewer Bills
The sewer bills are sent out semi-annually on January 1 and July 1. Some large commercial accounts are billed quarterly due to the amount of their bill. If you sell or purchase a property with City sewer, please notify the Sewer Billing Department so our records can be updated.

Broadening Payment
We now accept Visa or MasterCard credit / debit cards for payment. There is a form attached on the reverse side of your sewer billing to complete for credit / debit card transactions. Pay your sewer bill online.

Classifications
For sewer use classifications 200, 300, 400, and 500, there is a minimal charge of $63.84 for 300, 400, and 500 is used to calculate the rate for six months. The administrative fee of $6.41 is for the fixed costs of billing sewer accounts, account maintenance, and the ongoing fixed costs at the City Public Works Wastewater Treatment Division Facility.

Past Due Sewer Use Fees
Past due sewer use fees are levied pursuant to Section 7-13-4309 Montana Code Annotated. Sewer charges prior to July 1 of each year that are unpaid by Aug. 15 will be levied as a tax against the property that the sewer service was furnished. Per State law, a city may, in addition to pursuing the collection of sewer assessments as a tax, bring suit in a court of competent jurisdiction to collect the amount.
