Backcountry Adventures

Ages 9-14. There is a great big world out there to explore – and some of the most amazing places are right in our backyard in the Bitterroot Mountains. Backpacking develops emotional and physical resiliency while promoting land stewardship and teamwork. Kids will spend Monday and Tuesday learning how to plan a backpacking trip, including menu and route planning, making power snacks with Green Source, bear safety, gear choices, water purification, Leave No Trace Ethics, and group dynamics. Early Wednesday morning we will strap on our backs and head out on a two-night trip. Activity #: 2230331

Mountain Endurance Camp

Ages 10 -14. Peaks, whitewater, and mountain biking – let’s hit it! This camp is perfect for your active and adventure loving 10-14 year old. The week starts with a warmup around Missoula, including hiking Mt. Sentinel’s Pengelly trail, mountain biking at Marshall, and whitewater rafting. A personal trainer will take us through a fun, energetic and kid-friendly circuit class. In final preparation we will make yummy power food with Green Source!

On Wednesday we’ll take off north for a trail run/hike to Inspiration Point via Napa Point in the Swans. To top it off we will head to Whitefish to mountain bike. Two nights of camping along the way brings us home on Friday afternoon. If you are wondering if this camp is right for your kiddo, keep in mind we are pros at tailoring trips to meet the ability of each individual. Let us take them on an adventure that builds confidence and creates memories of a lifetime. LIMITED SPACE—UNLIMITED FUN. Experience in mountain biking is required for this camp. Activity #: 2230330
