  2. Red Cross Waterpark Lifeguard Certification

    May 7, 5:30 PM - May 25, 9:00 PM @ Currents Aquatic Center

    This course is for individuals interested in obtaining the skills and certifications needed to serve as a lifeguard. To be eligible for the course, candidates must be 15 years old on or before the last day of classes and must be mature and able to complete the following swim prerequisites: Swim 300 yards continuously using front crawl and breast stroke, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breast stroke then surface dive to a depth of 8.5 feet and retrieve a 10lb brick. A reading schedule and course book will be provided when payment is received. Books should be read before class begins. Successful participants will receive (r.06) Water Park Lifeguard/First Aid & CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certificates. Students MUST attend all classes.
