The City of Missoula and the Metropolitan Planning Organization are developing a plan for Higgins between Broadway and Brooks. The process is still in the initial stages, and we wanted to let you know about some upcoming opportunities for public involvement. On Wednesday 7/21, there will be several invite-only stakeholder meetings for adjacent property/business owners to learn more about the project and help shape the goals. There will be a Steering Committee meeting on Thursday morning at 9 am. The SC is comprised of City staff and elected officials, representatives from the Montana Department of Transportation both in Missoula and the Helena headquarters, representatives from the Downtown Partnership, Hip Strip Association, Parking Commission, and Missoula Redevelopment Agency. Additionally, the general public (including all of you) is invited to swing by booths we will have at Downtown Tonight (7/22), Clark Fork Market (7/24), and Out to Lunch (7/28). The website for the project will be available by the middle of next week at engagemissoula.com.
