Good morning all,
In 2021, the City of Missoula received
$1.3 million in HOME-ARP funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. (HOME stands for the HOME Investment Partnership Program, and ARP is the American Rescue Plan).
HOME-ARP dollars will primarily be used to address homelessness and supportive service needs in our community. This means we can fund things like developing additional rental housing, homeless shelters or transitional housing, and services that support our community like childcare, job training, housing search & counseling services, among others.
The Community Development division of Community Planning, Development and Innovation is exploring potential uses for these funds. You can read about the HOME-ARP funds in the newly updated HOME-ARP Allocation Plan on
EngageMissoula.com.
In order to develop effective, community-based solutions
we need to hear from residents like you with ideas and recommendations to influence the use of these funds.
Please visit EngageMissoula.com for more information and to submit a comment or recommendation. Thank you!
