Willard School abatement and demolition timing

Contractors will be on site starting with ground floor window and roof abatement on the old building. Once the windows are abated, they will have plywood or another barrier covering the windows until demolition occurs.

The demolition of the old building is scheduled to start on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 7:00 a.m. There will be parts of 6^th St and Ash St. that will be blocked off to vehicle traffic during the demolition on June 17^th.  There will also be fencing to keep pedestrians out of the demolition area.
 
The site will remain active with crews through mid-August while demolition is completed and the new parking lot and landscaping are finalized. We will keep you posted if any old bricks from the building will be available for the community to reuse.
