HOMELESS MEMORIAL DAY SET FOR DEC. 21, 2017
Candlelight vigil, performances, call to action to honor people who have died

The City of Missoula, with Missoula County and service providers and advocates for people experiencing homelessness, will hold a Homeless Memorial event on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Caras Park.
Missoula joins more than 150 cities and counties across the nation to bring attention to the tragedy of homelessness and to remember those who have died while living without permanent homes. The event will feature a candlelight vigil and speakers building on the National Coalition for the Homeless’ theme of “remember, hope and heal.”
There will also be a ceremonial reading of the names of more than 10 people, homeless and formerly homeless, who have died in the past year in Missoula.
