No. The cemetery continues developing, selling, and maintaining the first 40 acres of land. An additional 40 acres remains to be developed.

As of 2013 the total number of people buried or memorialized in Missoula Cemetery is just under 21,000.

The cemetery hosts a highly anticipated historical tour held annually on the last Sunday afternoon in October called
Stories and Stones

Can walking / running groups use the cemetery?
Yes. The grounds are open daily from 8:00am - dusk. All roads throughout the cemetery are paved. The cemetery is a beautiful, quiet, and safe place to walk, run, or stroll.
