City elections are held in odd numbered years.  If the city holds a primary election, it is held the 1st Tuesday after the 2nd Monday in September. The city's general elections are held the 1st Tuesday after the 1st Monday in  November.  

• City Primary Election--there will not be a primary election this year(see 13-14-115 MCA)
• City General Election--November 3, 2009
• The offices on the ballot include: Mayor, Municipal Judge, and one representative from each of the city's six wards.
• Elected candidates take office on January 4, 2010
• The City's general November election will be conducted by mail ballot. If your address has changed or if you have moved to Missoula recently, please contact the Missoula County Elections Office to update your address.
