Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview

The Missoula Police Department is proud to present Forensic Experiential Trauma Interviews (FETI) Class.

Registration is now open. Your department will be invoiced by the Missoula Police Department for the $50 registration fee.

The class will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 8:00AM-5:00PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel (100 Madison St. Missoula,MT). 

This will be a two-part class consisting of Orientation to the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI) from 8:00AM-12:00PM and Professional Wellness: Beyond Vicarious Trauma Mitigation from 1:00PM-5:00PM. Whether you plan to attend the entire day or only one section of the class, the registration fee is still $50.00.

FETI is the foremost training opportunity for law enforcement, prosecutors, advocates, higher education, community partners & healthcare professionals, etc.

FETI is a science and practice-based interviewing methodology informed by the latest research on the neurobiology of trauma and memory. FETI provides interviewers with a science-informed interviewing framework that maximizes opportunities for information collection and accurately documents the participant's experience in a neutral , equitable, and fair manner.

The presenter is Mr. Russell W. Strand, he is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of domestic violence intervention, critical incident peer support, sexual assault, trafficking in persons and child abuse investigations
