Missoula Movers - Active Adults Outdoors!

Whether you want to try something new or you're an old pro at recreating with Parks and Recreation, Missoula Movers is for you. It's a wonderful way to explore Western Montana, stay active, spark a new leisure passion, make new friends or just have a great time.

All programs meet at Currents Aquatic Center. Please bring appropriate footwear, water, food and clothing for all trips. Programs are geared for active adults 55 and over, but all adults are welcome.

Missoula Movers Winter Courses

Winter’s more fun on snow! Improve your technique or learn a new pastime in Classic Nordic Skiing or snowshoeing in our adult clinic series. We will focus on technique, trail navigation, and tips and tricks.  Bring lunch, water, and appropriate clothing. For Nordic Clinics you will need to provide your own skis and boots. Rentals available through the University of Montana Campus Recreation or The Trail Head.

Meets Saturdays, 10 am – 2 pm, at Currents Aquatics Center.   Minimum/Maximum: 5/14.   Click the Activity # below to register online.

Missoula Movers Coffee Walks

Don't spend the fall and winter inside! Enjoy the company of new and old friends on guided walks through Missoula's conservation lands, parks, and trails. Please dress for winter outdoor activity. Bring hiking poles if needed, and Yaktrax/traction cleats if there's snow or ice. Parks and Recreation can provide hiking poles and snowshoes if it snows! After our walks, we'll enjoy hot drinks and good company.

Meets Mondays at Currents, 9am to 12pm. Fee: $7 (Sorry, no CityCard discount.)  Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Register online, call 721-PARK (7275) or register at Currents Aquatics Center. Activity #4262600.
