Buildingeye is a citizen platform specializing in GIS and data visualization, all on a City of Missoula map making it easy to see where new building, planning and engineering applications are being proposed.
How it works?
The map can be filtered to search by neighborhood, address or you can draw your own area of concern. There are three modules to choose from: building, planning and engineering. Applications within the search area appear as icons on the map. Each icon is color coded: blue represents a new application currently being processed and green is a completed application. By clicking on the icon all the information about the application will appear on the right hand of the screen. New information is updated daily. Building and Planning information represents the last two and half years. Engineering information represents several years of available records.
How to begin?
Please login or sign up to create a new account. In the upper right corner of the map are the three words: Building, Engineering and Planning. By clicking on each word, you are able to view each map for applications. In the upper left corner of the map are the words Filters and Alerts. Clicking these will assist you in identifying your interests. In the lower left corner of the map are three shapes available to pin point your areas of concern.
Using the civic platform, Buildingeye, you can research sewer connections and print the record drawing(s). There is no need to login or create a new account. Search by address or by zooming in to a neighborhood and select the icon on the parcel.
