Miller Creek Road - Briggs to Mockingbird

Project Background

The road was in poor condition and lacked adequate capacity, safety, drainage, sidewalks, and bike facilities. In 1997, Missoula County began collecting Transportation Mitigation Fees to fund future transportation needs in the area. In 2007, the City of Missoula and Missoula County, working collaboratively, identified Miller Creek Road as the top priority for improvements. Read more about the project in the press release. You can also find information from the March 25, 2010 public meeting (PDF).

Planned Improvements

Project elements include sidewalks, boulevards, landscaping, curb and gutter, bike lanes, storm drainage, lighting, and a modern roundabout. Learn more about roundabouts and how to navigate as a vehicle, pedestrian, or bicyclist.
