Currents and Splash Montana are open - by reservation only

Recreation Swim (open swim) at Splash Montana and Currents Aquatics Center resumed June 22, in 90-minute sessions of 50 people or less, by reservation only. At Splash Montana, Recreation Swim includes The Pond (shallow pool), Lazy River, and waterslides. The smaller group size means kids and families will have plenty of room to splash and play in facilities that are cleaned and sanitized several times a day. Aquacize and lap swim reservations are also available at both pools.

Please note, Splash Montana may close for inclement weather, lightning, and cool temperatures. Reservation holders will receive credit on their account and may reschedule their swim time for a future date.

Session times and reservation information

  • Lap swim and Aquacize opened at Splash Montana on June 10. Limited lap swim and Aquacize resumes at Currents Aquatics Center on June 22.
  • Lap lanes at Splash Montana will remain at 25 yards, to allow us to accommodate more swimmers in the 50-meter pool.
  • Swim lessons have resumed at both pools. Parks will contact preregistered swim lesson participants with updates. View the updated lesson schedule, call 721-PARK to register, or visit
  • Parks and Recreation offers program grants to families who need financial assistance for pool admission, swim lessons and recreation programs, call 721-PARK for more information.
  • To facilitate physical distancing, locker room use will be limited. Patrons should arrive at the facility ready to swim and should plan to shower at home.

Supporting information:

The Governor’s Directive establishing conditions for Phase Two, and the County Health Officer’s May 28 reopening requirements order state that:

  • Groups larger than 50 people should be canceled unless physical distancing can be maintained
  • Events may use static groups of 50 people or fewer who do not intermingle with other static groups of 50 people to manage physical distancing within an event.

Please review the information linked below about how to enjoy aquatics facilities safely during the pandemic. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Aquatics Manager Eric Seagrave at or 721-PARK (7275.)
