Rattlesnake Emergency Evacuation Table Talk Exercise

Emergency Evacuation Exercise

The Upper and Lower Rattlesnake Councils and the Office of Emergency Management will be hosting an emergency planning meeting for residents of the Rattlesnake Valley on April 3, 2024 from 6-8:30 pm in the old gym at Rattlesnake School (Pineview Street entrance).

Three emergency scenarios will be discussed.

1. Wildfire encroaching Rattlesnake neighborhoods with very little warning.

2. Wildfire in Rattlesnake Recreation Area with some warning time.

3. Chemical spill near the base of the valley.

The discussion will address emergency preparedness, evacuation scenarios, and how to receive alerts and messages, with the goal of preparing neighbors in the event of an emergency that requires evacuation.

Pizza will be served. If you are not signed up for Smart911.com, this will be a helpful tool in preparation of this exercise and in possible emergency situations. To sign up, follow this link: https://smart911.com/. We hope to see you at the meeting!
