Mobility Improvements Project on Turner & Worden Sts Begins May 1
The City's Public Works & Mobility Department will begin the mobility improvements project on Turner and Worden streets on May 1 with completion expected around mid-September 2024. Please note that these dates may change due to inclement weather conditions or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Construction Information: The City's contractor for the project is JAG Contracting, LLC. Two lanes of traffic will remain open during construction, but on-street parking will not be allowed adjacent to the construction area (see construction map). Signs and other traffic control will be posted five days in advance to notify residents of the closure areas.
Once the contractor has installed the storm drain structures, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and driveway approaches, City Streets Division crews will mill and pave the streets from curb to curb. This work will likely involve street closures or detours. The project web page will be updated with this information once available.
More information about the project is available on the City's website at https://www.ci.missoula.mt.us/2839/Transportation-Projects. This web page includes construction area maps with approximate construction dates.
For everyone's safety, please drive slowly and cautiously near the construction area and watch for pedestrians and people on bikes because the driving lanes will be narrower to accommodate the construction crews and equipment.
Questions about the project can be directed to Monte Sipe, Construction Projects Manager, at 406-552-6092 or SipeM@ci.missoula.mt.us.
Best regards,
Public Works & Mobility Department
