New pickleball rules at Bonner, Marilyn, and Skyview neighborhood parks

To our valued pickleball friends:

As cities across the nation have experienced, the rising popularity of pickleball can lead to noise concerns from residents living near pickleball courts.

We have received complaints from Bonner Park neighbors about the noise from pickleball play disrupting their everyday lives. Adjacent neighbors recently commissioned a professional acoustic study that showed pickleball play at Bonner Park likely exceeds the decibel level permitted by Missoula Municipal Code 9.30.040, also known as the City Noise Ordinance.

Please visit this link to learn more about the new neighborhood park* pickleball rules and their rationale. These rules aim to balance the desires of park users with the reasonable expectations of adjacent neighbors. We kindly ask that you be a considerate neighbor by complying with these minor adjustments to your pickleball experience. Your support and cooperation will help ensure that pickleball remains accessible in neighborhood parks.
