Missoula Neighborhoods Community Forum: Thursday, August 22nd @ 6pm | City Council Chambers
Interested neighbors,
The Missoula Neighborhoods Community Forum agenda for tomorrow night (Thursday, August 22nd starting at 6:00pm in City Council Chambers) includes an informational presentation by the Mayor and Councilor Jones regarding the implementation of Ordinance 12.60, which places time, place, and manner restrictions on overnight sheltering in our parks, public spaces, and rights-of-way. After the presentation, there will be time for Community Forum representative questions, and then public comment. Public comment will be kept to 3 minutes per person and the agenda topic will need to end by 7:00 pm. For neighbors wishing to make comments but with time running out, there will also be a comment box to drop off comments. Please see agenda here: https://pub-missoula.escribemeetings.com/Meeting.aspx?Id=ad682585-1ef8-4f66-855d-acd3a72b1b2e&Agenda=Agenda&lang=English.
As a reminder, the Missoula Neighborhoods Community Forum is made up of one neighborhood council representative from each of the city's 18 neighborhood councils. It is a venue for neighborhood councils to share skills and information and is a place for neighborhoods to hear presentations from the community and discuss neighborhood issues. Conversations regarding Ordinance implementation have been coming up in various neighborhood council leadership team meetings. Holding an informational presentation at the Community Forum meeting will enable a common understanding of the approach and the ability for neighborhood leaders to take that information back to their teams and their neighbors.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow night.
