Please join us! Design workshop for Northside Parks Project - Nov. 14*Please note: Workshop time is 5:15-7:30 p.m. Apologies for the confusion. Parks and Recreation and the Office of Neighborhoods will host a second community design workshop for two major park projects in the Northside/Westside neighborhoods. The workshop will be held on Thursday, November 14, from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Lowell Elementary. If possible, please plan to stay for the entire workshop. Residents will help shape plans for: - A new 5.4-acre park at Scott and Rodgers (replacing White Pine Park.)
- Improvements to Northside Park and Annex, including the ballfield and community garden.
The November 14 workshop will build on community input gathered at the initial Northside parks design workshop held in September, explained Parks and Recreation Director Donna Gaukler. "We received valuable insights at our first workshop and are eager to continue gathering neighborhood feedback," Gaukler said. "With the rapid growth in the Northside and Westside neighborhoods, it's critical that we develop parks that meet the area's evolving needs." The family-friendly event will include: - Light dinner
- Free childcare and youth design activities for ages 3-11
- Hands-on planning exercises
- Project timeline updates
