The City of Missoula Public Works & Mobility Department is currently working on walkway improvements on N Curtis St. This project will create a safe, connected, and accessible walkway along the east side of Curtis St between S 3rd St W and River Rd. This will be accomplished by removing the deteriorating raised asphalt path and replacing it with a new walkway that is wider, smoother, and has clearer separation from motor vehicles.

The walkway will be closed to pedestrians during the estimated 3-week construction project, and connectivity in the neighborhood will be more limited than normal. To promote safety, the speed limit will temporarily be 15 mph in the area for the duration of the project, and we urge all users to exercise caution while traveling.
