Join the City of Missoula and Missoula County for a community open house to learn about the South Ave Safe Streets for All Infrastructure Improvements Project — an effort to improve safety, accessibility, sustainability, and convenience for all who travel along South Ave.
Stop by the open house in the Big Sky High School Cafeteria on September 10, 2025 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Meet the project managers and discover how community feedback from people like you has already enhanced this project!
WHAT WILL THIS PROJECT DO?
This project will improve safety and access by reconstructing South Ave from Reserve St to Clements Rd and Clements Rd from South Ave to North Ave. The vision of a safe South Ave will include everything from installing curbs, paths, turn lanes, and lighting.
WHAT ARE THE COMMUNITY BENEFITS?
+Enhanced safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers.
+Better access to public parks, essential services, schools, the surrounding neighborhoods, and local businesses.
+Support climate, sustainability, and economic competitiveness.
HOW IS IT FUNDED?
+ 80% Federal Safe Streets and Roads For All Grant
+ 20% Local Funding Match
