Duncan Dr. Trailhead Parking Lot Now Open

Improvements to the parking lot at the Duncan Dr. Trailhead have been completed, and the area is now open to the public. When visiting the site, please remember the following:  

• Stay on finished surface areas: Users are asked to drive and walk on paved or gravel surfaces ONLY to protect the recently seeded areas. Areas of topsoil around the new parking lot can be very soft when conditions are warm and the ground is wet or thawing.
• Use official trail only: Visitors to the area are not allowed on NorthWestern Energy's maintenance access road. Watch for signage directing you to the open, accessible trail.
• More improvements are coming!: Interpretive kiosk panels will be installed in late 2025 to early 2026, and additional trail construction will be completed early next spring to complete the 1-mile accessible loop trail down to the old Rattlesnake Dam site.
