Super Sprouts Sports Skills

Meets at the Sports & Wellness Center at 1515 Fairview Ave. 10-10:45am. Fee is $30/$24 with CityCard.

Your budding sports stars will develop coordination while having fun and learning about a variety of sports, balance, and movement skills. New this year: Strider Bikes and the Loose Parts Portable Playground, in addition to classic sports kids love. Soft Koosh and Nerf-type  equipment is used so kids can build confidence and have lots of fun. Parent participation is encouraged! 
Schedule is subject to change, but we strive to meet this schedule:

Week 2: Frisbee & soccer skills
Week 3: Loose Parts Playground & games
Week 4: Football & basketball skills
Week 5: Baseball & softball skills
Week 6: Olympics!
Kids in Action Camps
Includes new Strider bikes & Loose Parts Portable Playground. Interactive and engaging morning camps in a fun learning environment. Includes games, activities, reading, learning, arts & crafts, sports, and loads of fun. Kids will have a ball with the new Strider bikes and Loose Parts Playground, as well as other awesome equipment! Kids will have an opportunity to socialize with other preschoolers, and parents will have an opportunity to get to know each other. Parent participation is welcome. Parks and Recreation staff will be on hand to promote a safe play environment. 
Meets Wednesdays 9:15-11:15am at the Sports an d Wellness Center at 1515 Fairview Ave.

Keep your child active and engaged over school breaks with our adventure camps. Kids love the field trips, and parents love the low participant-to-staff ratios. Field trips include swimming at Currents, climbing at Freestone Climbing Gym, snowshoeing and snow safety at Lolo Hot Springs, tracking at MPG Ranch, and more! 

Family Adventures

Meets Saturdays. Youth under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Children 10 and under are free!

Mar. 26 Winter Shelter Building and Snow Safety 10am - 2pm $42/$35
Spend the winter outdoors with the people you love! Great for all families, ages, and abilities. These programs are the perfect getaway to gaining outdoor winter skills and trying new experiences. All age welcome. Program fee includes transportation, instruction, and all equipment except cross country skis. Rentals are available at Outdoor Supply Company or The Trail Head. Youth 10 and under are free! Please pre-register kids 10 and under.  
10 & Under Tennis Lessons
Brings kids into the game with specialized equipment and shorter court dimensions, all tailored to age and size. The 10 & Under format gets kids into the game immediately. Within the first few sessions, kids are actually playing the game, rallying with one another and having fun. Kids gain confidence by experiencing immediate progress, making them more enthusiastic about continuing to play and improve. It’s the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis – and keep them playing. Specialize equipment designed for kids makes learning tennis easy and fun. 
Meets 4-5pm at the Sports and Wellness Center at 1515 Fairview Ave. For ages 5-10.
Fee is $40/$32 per session.

Rippers Cross-Country Ski Club
Thursdays, 2:30-5:15pm, and meets at Pattee Canyon Parking Area (top of Pattee Canyon Dr.)
Ages 8-12
Cross-Country skiing is one of the best ways to stay active and get outside in the winter. We will focus on safety and Nordic technique. Equipment rental available if needed. Snack included. Fee is $88/$80 with CityCard per session. $100 if rentals are needed.

Winter Kids After School Program
School pickup and drop off included! 
Keep your child engaged and encourage their love for winter recreation! Each week will focus on a new sport or activity. MORE staff will pick your child up from school, serve a healthy snack, lead a fun activity, and then return kids to the school by 5:30pm for easy pick up for parents.

Snowshoeing, survival skills, snow science, cross-country skiing, ice skating, winter folf, swimming at Currents, climbing at Freestone Gym and much MORE! Low participant-to-staff ratios, healthy snacks, and all equipment, transportation and instruction are part of the package.

Is your child homeschooled, or would like to participate with another school? No problem, just drop off at a listed school to join in on the fun!

Watch the snowshoe and bike races, activity booths and winter games, live music by Wolf and the Moons, food, demos, and general winter fun including a winter folf course. Get outside and enjoy the winter! At Marshall Mountain. $1 suggested donation.

Snowshoe Races
Registration fee includes swag bag filled with goodies, a Buff® multi-functional ski cap, and raffle tickets for door prizes. Register at Currents Aquatics Center, by calling 721-PARK, or at We can provide snowshoes for the first forty participants who request them. Please reserve snowshoes upon registration. Race starts at 11am.
Choose your course:
Elite Course: 3-mile loop with 860 feet of elevation gain.
Greenhorn Course: 1.5-mile loop with 336 feet of elevation gain. 
Fees are $20 for adults 18+ and $15 for youth 17 and under. 

Poker Play
Not interested in racing but still want to be part of the action? Try our Snowshoe Poker Run! Snowshoe to each station to pick a card. Best poker hand at the end of the course wins prizes! Poker Run is relatively low elevation gain. All events at Marshall Mountain.

Fat Tire Bike Race
Missoula's premiere winter bike race at Marshall Mountain. Course information coming soon. 
Fee is $10 for all ages.
