Citizen Academy

 Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy
The 2016 Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. for eight weeks beginning January 27th.
The Missoula Police Department has hosted a Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy (CLEA) since 1993 inviting local citizens, business owners, fraternal organization members, etc. to participate.

This academy includes an overview of our department's activities including presentations from officers about our many programs including, but not limited to:
In addition, we try to provide some hands-on applications for our participants including a ride-a-long with officers and a training simulator application.

The response to the CLEA has been phenomenal, and we have had very positive feedback from our participants. This eight-week program has provided Missoula citizens with a realistic view of their Missoula Police Department's activities, challenges, and accomplishments.

We are currently accepting applications for CLEA.  Complete the online registration here or print out this form and bring/mail to Laurie Clark at Missoula Police Department, 435 Ryman St, Missoula, MT 59802.  Alternatively you can call Laurie Clark at 552-6320 to request an application.  Deadline for applications is January 13, 2016.
