Citizen Academy

 Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO THE 2014 CITIZENS' LAW ENFOCEMENT ACADEMY.

The Missoula Police Department has hosted a Citizens' Law Enforcement Academy (CLEA) since 1993 inviting local citizens, business owners, fraternal organization members, etc. to participate.

This academy includes an overview of our department's activities including presentations from officers about our many programs including, but not limited to:
In addition, we try to provide some hands-on applications for our participants including a ride-a-long with officers and a training simulator application.

Success
The response to the CLEA has been phenomenal, and we have had very positive feedback from our participants. This nine-week program has provided Missoula citizens with a realistic view of their Missoula Police Department's activities, challenges, and accomplishments.
