25. Junior Camp Counselor: Assist summer camp staff with weekly camp programs and field trips. Shifts range from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

    Junior Lifeguard: Assist Head Lifeguards in supervising the pool at Splash Montana. Shifts range from 11 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday.

    Junior Conservation Steward: Join our Conservation Lands Management crew to learn land conservation practices. Meets once weekly for trail and land conservation project work. Weekday TBD.

    We invite teens of all abilities to become Teen Workreators! To ensure a successful summer, we want to know if there are any tasks that you may require assistance in performing. This may include physical activities, interpersonal management skills, or any other areas where you may need support to participate fully.

    Please read carefully and sign below:

    • I look forward to my volunteer experience and being a positive member of the Parks & Recreation team this summer!
    • Training provided by the Department assists the volunteer in performance functions and assignments that benefit the community and volunteer.
    • I will comply with all policies, procedures, rules, regulations, directives and instructions provided by the Teen Workreation Coordinators. 
    • By entering into his agreement, I understand that if I become injured on the job, I will not be covered by Worker’s Compensation or any other insurance. 
    • My personal belongings are not in any way insured, and I am fully responsible for myself and my property.
    • I have read the above application and completed it to the best of my knowledge.  I understand that any false or misleading statements will be cause for the rejection of this application or dismissal after the appointment.
    • If I am chosen for the volunteer position, I will take responsibility for adhering to my work schedule.
    • While volunteering for Missoula Parks and Recreation, I am responsible for any damages or injuries to properties or people caused by my actions.
    • A volunteer does not replace any regular Department employee, and this agreement does not establish employee-employer relations for minimum wage and overtime compensation purposes.
