Missoula County, the City of Missoula and contractors have partnered with Kiewit Construction to complete the Mullan BUILD Project, which is anticipated to be substantially completed by the end of 2022. The work includes infrastructure and roadway construction of Mary Jane Boulevard South, Mary Jane Boulevard North, England Boulevard, George Elmer Drive, and two roundabout intersections along Mullan Road (Mullan/George Elmer Drive and Mullan/Mary Jane Boulevard).
 
For the week of April 25 to May 2, Kiewit will be closing the southern access near Summit Beverage on Flynn Lane. A shoofly (a temporary detour that carries traffic around roadwork) on the north end of Flynn Lane will detour drivers around active sewer utility work. When traveling through the work zone travelers can anticipate flaggers directing traffic and 5 – 10 minutes of delay. In the coming weeks, please anticipate work occurring on the south end of George Elmer. Be mindful of signs and slow down throughout the Mullan area. 
 
On Thursday, April 21, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to officially kick off the project and thank project partners. For details, please read coverage by the Missoulian or KPAX.
