My insurance company needs to know my Fire Protection Class Rating. What is it?
The City of Missoula was notified that as of September 1, 1999, we have been upgraded to a Class 3 Rating, up from a Class 4 Rating by the Insurance Services Office (ISO). The classification is only based on businesses and residences located within the City limits. This rating is determined by ISO by evaluating water supply, the fire department, and the category of receiving and handling of alarms (through the 9-1-1 Center). For more information, call us at (406) 552-6210.
