Run Wild Missoula is once again partnering with Missoula Parks & Recreation to offer the Missoula community the 27th annual Run for the Trees on Saturday, April 20th!  Come out and show your support for Missoula's Urban Forest!

Registration Opens Thursday, February 14 at 8:00 a.m. 

Registration is FREE for Kids 10 & Under in both the 5K & 10K.  Kids of all ages are welcome to register for the FREE 1-Mile Fun Run!

Registration Fees for 5K & 10K (Age 11 and Over): All participants will receive a tree seedling, courtesy of the Good Food Store; Endurance Blend Tea - Sprint's Spritzer from Lake Missoula Tea Company - guaranteed to the first 450 registrants, chip timing, and more! Run Wild Missoula members, login to receive a $2 discount!

  • $20 through 11:59 p.m. on March 21
  • $25 March 22 through April 18, 12 p.m.
  • $30 April 18 at 12:01 p.m. through Race Day (via RunSignUp)

1-Mile Fun Run: Get the kids involved with a FREE 1-mile, untimed, fun run! (no tea or tree seedling for this event.)

Packet Pickup & Late Registration:

  • Friday, April 19 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Run Wild Missoula (304 N Higgins, Basement of Runner's Edge)
  • Saturday, April 20 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Race Start (Silver Park)

Race Times:

  • 10K: 10:00 a.m.
  • 5K: 10:15 a.m.
  • 1-Mile Fun Run: 11:15 a.m. 

Location: Silver Park; 900 Cregg Lane

Arbor Day Proclamation: 9:45 a.m. with Mayor John Engen

Course Maps:

Awards: Special awards to the Top Three men and women in both the 5K and 10K races

Optional Donation: All registrants have the option to make a tax deductible, charitable donation to Trees for Missoula.

As outlined in the race waiver & acknowledgment, entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable.  To view the RWM race cancellation policy, click here.  Per Run Wild Missoula event policies, dogs are not allowed to participate in the event, with the exception of ADA Service Animals.

Little Dipper Trail Run - Saturday, May 18, 12 - 3 p.m.

Back for another year partnered with Big Dipper Trail Running Team and Run Wild Missoula we are happy to have our 4-mile, 2-mile, and 1-k races ready for the kids. At Ten Spoon Vineyard and Winery, 4175 Rattlesnake Dr.

Ages - can you waddle and up (usually around age 2)
Start time is 12 p.m. for Free 1k
12:10 p.m. for 4 mile - $15
12:15 p.m. for 2 mile - $15
After the race dig into Big Dipper Ice Cream!

Event authorized under Parks and Recreation Conservation Lands Special Use Permit.

Registration opens at in April at Run Wild Missoula so stay tuned - only 250 spots available!
